Established in 1997 and headquartered in St. John's NL, Plato
provides professional consulting services and software solutions to clients throughout
North and South America. For the past 10 years, the company has worked with a wide
variety of well recognized public and private sector clients in local and export markets,
including several Fortune 500 companies.
To address our growing portfolio of IT consulting projects and to supplement our
existing team, we are seeking talented Business Analysts.
Business Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Working with clients to define business and systems requirements;
- Identifying gaps between clients' current systems and identified requirements;
- Working directly with technical staff to ensure business requirements are met;
- Performing risk assessments and identifying approaches to minimize risk;
- Ensuring that change is managed effectively;
- Developing test plans and participating in the testing process;
- Developing and maintaining required documentation;
- Assisting stakeholders in all stages of the project life-cycle as required.
Qualifications:
- A relevant university degree supplemented by several years of relevant experience;
- Experience working with large client organizations on medium to large scale projects;
- Experience working on software development and/or packaged software implementation projects;
- Demonstrated knowledge of current software products, tools, and technologies;
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities as demonstrated through project experience;
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong commitment to high quality and attention to detail;
- Assertiveness and self-motivation for success;
- Experience with ERP systems, healthcare applications, and/or information security/privacy would be considered an asset.
