IT4 Consortium Awarded CRM System Project
St. John's, NL, December 1, 2009 - Plato is pleased to announce its success in a recent OCIO (Office of the Chief Information Officer) proposal. Plato secured this contract as a member of the IT4 consortium, one of three signatories of an IT/IM Services Agreement with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (GNL). Other IT4 consortium members, MTS Allstream Inc., Infotech Canada Inc. and Tamarack Geographic Technologies Ltd., will also be involved in this project.
This project consists of developing a list of requirements for a client relationship management (CRM) system for the Department of Business and the Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development (INTRD). Furthermore, this project is expected to validate whether a Commercial-off-the-Shelf system is a viable solution direction. The potential exists for this system to be utilized in other government departments if the CRM system proves that it can meet the varying needs of the departments, in addition to be flexible and configurable.
“Keeping track of your customers is a critically important function to grow and expand your business operations. The GNL has made a strategic decision to improve their CRM systems and we are excited to be a part of this process,” said Shannon O’Brien, Project Manager at Plato. “We have assembled a team with over 30 years combined experience in applied Business Analysis and 15 years experience specifically dedicated to the CRM field. The GNL recognizes our strengths and the team will deliver an information package suitable not just for the Department of Business and Department of INTRD, but one that can be tapped to address the needs at an enterprise level.”
